This past Tuesday our Club hosted a real casting call for our members. Our members stood before the camera of famed Russian photographer Michael Harlamov, renowned producer Nadia Voukitchevitch, and director Joe Kelly in order to audition for our upcoming commercial. Hoping to find a few kids to represent our Club, the all-star team was completely blown away by the talent and charisma of our members.
The faces in this article have been intentionally blurred as we narrow down the search but rest assured, the kids will “pop” on screen when the commercial is aired! The script is being closely guarded at this stage of development, but it will truly represent the Club’s mission in Boyle Heights.
The upcoming commercial is made possible due to the hard work and dedication of board members Alex Tucciarone and Frank Venti. “We have a great story here at the Club but we have to get the message out,” said Frank. The commercial is designed to raise awareness of the Club and how it changes lives and also invite others to help in any way they can.
According to Br. Tom, “Shy kids would light up in front of the camera and really have their moment. I am so glad we are giving these kids a chance at pursuing their dreams and really seeing their dignity.”
May we all, like Don Bosco, continue to give the young a chance at seeing their dignity and support them on their paths to greatness!
