This GivingTuesday, The Salesian family Youth Center will celebrate giving by raising funds for the Game Room on site.
GivingTuesday, taking place December 3rd, is a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage giving and to celebrate generosity worldwide. Every year, on GivingTuesday, millions of people across the globe mobilize to show up, give back, and change their communities. The goal is to create a massive wave of generosity that lasts well beyond that day and touches every person on the planet.
The Salesian Family Youth Center joined GivingTuesday in order to bring awareness to everyone on the amazing work that our staff and programs do for the youth in the Boyle Heights community. We hope to raise funds to make sure that we reach our goals of improving our Game Room so the children that attend our program can have a new furnished area to play games and hang out!

Currently our Game Room has broken couches and fabric that is falling off of them as you can see below. Also we have it looking aged and not vibrant with lights.
This is our dream for the Game Room:

Founded in 2012, GivingTuesday has inspired millions of people to give back and support the causes they believe in. In just seven years, GivingTuesday has radically changed how we think about generosity and showed just how much power communities everywhere have to create change.
We hope this Giving Tuesday to be able to make our site better and providing a safe and fun room for the kids to have better places to hang out with their friends and play games.

From now until December 3rd feel free to donate below or by pressing the link to our GoFundMe to help raise money to fix our Game Room. Any little amount helps and we are appreciative of the change you can make to our center. With Salesian every child will feel EMPOWERED!!
