After three months of working together, we had our first Gala on Feb 18, 2023. The event was terrific, and we raised 40k to support our mission in Boyle Heights. Thank you so much for being part of this fantastic experience. We had fun, celebrated our honorees, and acknowledged our three youths of the year.
Here is the video from our children welcoming our guests for our Gala!

Youth Serving Youth; the confirmation retreat for St Marys and Santa Isabel church was led by youth leaders from SFYC and St. Dominic Savio. A fantastic experience where young people were able to find themselves.
I hope you like this video that shows the different activities done at the retreat.
Young People from our Youth Center participated at Youth Day!
Youth Day 2023 was an unforgettable experience for the young people from our center. They spent a full day engaging in a variety of workshops, activities, and fun, which helped them to develop valuable skills and grow in confidence as leaders. From team-building exercises to public speaking practice, the youth had a chance to learn new things, connect with peers, and step outside their comfort zones. By the end of the day, it was clear to see how much they had grown and how much potential they had for the future.
Some news from SHOUT
The driver's Ed Spring session is going strong, with our students super concentrated. Here the driving instructor is teaching them hand signals and how to hold the steering wheel properly. All the students signed up for Drivers Ed know the importance of this course.
Our SHOUT fitness room has seen many students committed to improving their health. The majority said during the New Year that this would be the year of "GAINS ''. In between themselves, they motivate each other to stay consistent. We can see the leadership they are attaining by being at the gym.
Here we are setting up for our Student Led conference. We promoted to parents and students all the programs we have available to them. It was great because they got to see the Staff that runs the programs, not just our flyers. Our presence there made the difference.
Farewell Fr. Paul!
We are deeply saddened by the passing of Fr. Paul, who always supported us in many ways, especially in our outreach program to the homeless. Fr. Paul's unwavering dedication, compassion, and selflessness inspired all who knew him. He will be greatly missed as a true leader and friend, but his legacy will continue to inspire and guide us. During this challenging time, our thoughts and prayers are with Fr. Paul's family, friends, and loved ones. Rest in peace, Fr. Paul; your memory will live forever in our hearts.
